Instant Pot Carnitas
I was trying to come up with a recipe to feed 10 people and this creation came about. I have been loving my Instant Pot and have begun testing out recipes I make up. This is by FAR the best one that everyone enjoyed!
If you prefer your meat soft instead of a little crispy skip the steps on the stove and in oven!
Shredded Chicken Tacos
Who doesn’t love a yummy taco? In our house one of our favorite go-to foods is tacos! We have many different favorite recipes but one of the easiest is shredded chicken tacos in the Crockpot.
This recipe tastes super delicious and there is relatively no prep involved. It is a perfect meal for a quick and easy dinner. You dump all ingredients into the Crockpot, set it on low and can walk away for hours! These smell delicious while cooking and the chicken becomes very tender when simmered in the Crockpot.
A few tips:
- Get all ingredients prepped before starting to cook anything.
- Dice all your toppings so once chicken is done you can just enjoy!
- Use either meat claws or metal forks for shredding.
- If you really like your chicken in smaller bites, use a mixer to shred it into tinier pieces after cooking.
Check out the recipe below and enjoy your tasty and fresh chicken tacos!
Homemade Spaghetti Sauce and Alfredo Sauce
Having a large amount of family living nearby and visiting often, I have had to learn how to feed a crowd! I love cooking and so these recipes are easy, with minimal prep and clean up. In order to make these two sauces I used a pot, skillet and Crock-Pot.
I made the spaghetti sauce, or red sauce on the stove and the Alfredo sauce in the Crock-Pot. This helped with minimal work and an easy clean up of only a few things at the end of the prepping.
Recipe for Spaghetti Sauce:
- 1 can tomato puree
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp minced onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- hamburger (if you would like)
- salt and pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients and put in a sauce pan on medium heat. Heat all ingredients until they are warm (about 15 minutes). If you choose to add hamburger, heat in a skillet until brown, then drain and add to sauce.
Recipe for Alfredo Sauce:
- One triangle of Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 2 tbsp cream cheese
- 1 pint of heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Put all ingredients in the Crock Pot and put on low heat for one hour.
Add noodles at to your pasta and enjoy!
