I started making meatballs when we first got married a few years ago. I made meatballs with ground beef, the way I had them as a child. I thought that was the only kind of meatball that people liked.
After browsing Pinterest, I realized that there were so many other proteins that I could use to make meatballs. I read about chicken, turkey, tofu, etc. I had never cooked ground turkey but it seemed like the most tasty option.
When I finally made turkey meatballs for the first time, they turned out okay. They were pretty dry, and not very flavorful. Over time though, I have developed a recipe that I love! My husband will eat seconds of them. which is a huge deal, since he is not usually one to eat more than one helping of anything!
